The link does work! And the book is in the archive. You know, there used to be a score or better of copies of this book in the archive. This one is listed under its long title because it didn't have a cover when it was scanned in (2013), probably from a university library. What about the many other copies of the collected Demonology (1616)? It is possible that the book was there the whole time? I don't think so. I've followed a well worn path to it through the search engine many times over many years (this did not involve copying a dead link). Thank you for your help identifying this issue. I'll have to do an email letting people know they can check out the whole book!
I'm glad! You're quite welcome. There was a time I would have dismissed the claim of a book getting "disappeared" by archive.org as conspiratorial nonsense, but these days you can't afford to be that naive. You're probably right.
For what it's worth, here are two other copies that I was able to find:
Yes, the first link is a complete facsimile of the 1616 edition, including the collected (extra-titular) works, and the second link is a reprint of Demonology without the collected works (of which there has been a recent printing (2018)). It's the non-titular works that are inflammatory to a certain set of papists (as the note on the facsimile you posted indicates), and they are what I feel are suppressed. Our priest/controllers certainly are erasing books and distorting history. That's what they said they were going to do in the Day Tapes: https://sagehana.substack.com/i/112202825/some-books-would-just-disappear-from-the-libraries
I wonder where the facsimile came from, because it has the same long title as the copy I'm working from (printed on the title page). My contention is that it was a mistake to list the work under this title instead of the more common title Demonology, which would've been on the cover (missing). It could've been made from the same copy, but this facsimile was published earlier (2008), and it doesn't include some of the provenance from the copy I show in the above post. The introduction to the facsimile is useful because it introduces each of the works. This isn't present in the 1616 edition. Thanks again for your help. You must have some serious library skills, because I still cannot formulate a search that would list this book in the results.
Thank you for telling me about your substack. I have to confess that I also have a hard time with old English and historical contexts that I have not studied in depth. I agree it would be helpful if you would explain the points you think are important and then it would be possible to comment. My particular concern is what we are facing now and what obedience to Christ requires. The Book of Revelation is important, as are all prophetic passages, but even more importantly , it is difficult to find Christians whose faith is not compromised.
I don't think I could pass any test of faith accept belief in forgiveness through Jesus. I'm lucky that Grace is Abounding To The Chief Of Sinners, as Bunyan says. Transcribing this book is helping me understand it (not fully) and I'm trying to share it with people who I think might be interested. It is pretty uncommon to find people interested in old books in this generation, I admit.
Yes, forgiveness through Jesus Christ. I did not mean to make it sound like a test or that faith is by works. The language has gotten very confusing, with the same words being used in different ways. I don't want you to be discouraged about old books. I study many things that nobody is interested in. It is not lack of value, it is shortage of time and urgency because of what is going on. In Christ, we have overcome the world, no matter how terrible the things are, that we see.
The fact that this book is deliberately erased from the archive infuriates me. I'm so sick of the Satanic Vermin that proliferate in these times. Everywhere you look it's agents and gatekeepers (frogs & Jesuits) and the lies are unsustainable.
Although I already subscribe to your work, I don't have very much idea of what I'm looking at. Am I right in assuming that you're suggesting that our past is deleted/obscured for a reason; basically to deny the truth of who & what we really are? (pretty much the same as Clif but on a more scholarly level?)
When I've previously looked at texts you've published, that you've translated into more modern English I'm still at a bit of a loss. Is it possible to get a commentary/explanation with those texts, to aid the not-so-bright like me?
I think this particular work of King James is suppressed because it directly speaks about the False Jews (like Clif) and the Synagogue of Satan. The Paraphrase Upon The Revelation is useful to read along side the book of Revelation itself. It has helped me understand the symbolism and the timeline. I had planned to present notes with each chapter, but haven't done it yet. I'm trying to complete the 22 chapters in The Paraphrase by the end of the year. I'm not a slick scholar who produces a lot of scholarly writing (I do read a lot). I'm just the person who decided to download the volume when I saw others being deleted, and then I held onto it for more than two years wondering what to do with it.
It looks your PDF reader is copy/pasting the link wrong. "00jame" in the URL became "OOjame". Those are zeroes! This link should work:

Might this be the 'Demonology' you mentioned?

The provenance I mentioned is actually in this post: https://palamambron.substack.com/p/i-rescued-a-suppressed-book
